Every gift on your Gifters shelf is quietly mining something. That something is Giftcoin, and it’s worth knowing exactly what it can and can’t do. 🪙

What is Giftcoin?

Giftcoin is the in-game currency of Gifters, the free Telegram game where your gift collection mines. Gifts on your shelf earn it every hour into a pouch, and you also get it from tasks, streaks, friends, selling gifts and leagues. You spend it inside the game on boxes, market trades, swaps and more. You can’t buy Giftcoin with Stars or money, and it’s never paid out: it can’t be withdrawn as Stars, TON or cash. It’s also not $GIFT, the planned token for Gifters on TON.

How do you earn Giftcoin?

Your shelf mines it

The shelf is the main source, and it works while you’re away. Put a gift on your shelf and it earns Giftcoin every hour into your pouch. Only shelved gifts earn, so a gift you own but haven’t placed is just sitting there.

The pouch holds a limited number of hours of income. When it’s full, mining pauses until you claim, and claiming moves the Giftcoin into your balance. Better gifts earn more, and so do well-matched ones: gifts that share a collection, backdrop or theme build chemistry that raises their income. The whole idea is laid out in Gift2Earn: your collection is the mine.

Playing adds more

New players start with a welcome Giftcoin balance, and players who arrive through a friend’s invite get an extra bonus with their first gift. After that, tasks are the steady top-up. Open “Tasks” and you’ll find starter steps, a fresh set of daily ones, and community tasks like following Gifters on social media. Each pays Giftcoin, in amounts shown in the app.

The daily streak mixes Giftcoin and boxes over a seven-day cycle, and sharing a gift once a day earns a small reward. Inviting friends pays too, once a friend joins and actually plays. The full list of free sources lives in free Telegram gifts, and the referral rules in invite friends.

Trading and competing bring it in

Selling gifts is the other big source. You can quick sell a gift for a quoted Giftcoin amount, list it at a fixed price, run an auction, or accept someone’s offer. The market guide explains each option.

Leagues pay as well. The “Miners” and “Squads” boards rank collections by worth every day, and the top places earn Giftcoin when the tables reset at 00:00 UTC. Whoever holds the King of the Hill crown in a Miners room earns extra Giftcoin every hour until someone takes it.

What can you spend Giftcoin on?

Most Giftcoin goes back into your collection. Boxes cost Giftcoin or Telegram Stars, and each one reveals a random gift. On paid opens, a “Minimum rarity” picker lets you guarantee at least a chosen rarity, for a higher price shown in the app.

The market is the other big sink. Market listings and auctions are priced in Giftcoin, so you use it to buy gifts, bid in auctions, and make offers on any gift, listed or not. When you make an offer, your Giftcoin is reserved until it’s accepted or expires. Swaps in chat can include Giftcoin from either side, and sending a gift to another player carries a transfer fee.

Giftcoin also has a social side. Squad owners can declare squad wars where each side stakes Giftcoin and gifts. As of October 2026, the PvP and Arena mini-games accept Giftcoin or gifts too: players add to a shared pot, and one player takes it.

Crafting runs mostly on gifts: the gifts you put in burn even if the craft fails, and a craft can also cost a Giftcoin fee, shown before you confirm and burned with them. Challenges also run on gifts: you hand in matching ones to claim a stocked reward.

What Giftcoin is not

It’s never sold

Purchases use Telegram Stars. Giftcoin is never sold.

That line comes straight from the app. Stars buy boxes and conveniences in the Store, such as VIP, an extra shelf slot or a pouch extender, but no amount of Stars or money buys a Giftcoin balance. The only way to get Giftcoin is to play.

It’s never paid out

Giftcoin stays in the game. It can’t be withdrawn or cashed out as Stars, TON or money. The same goes for gifts: they’re virtual copies of Telegram gift collections, so you can’t withdraw them as real Telegram gifts or deposit real ones.

It’s not $GIFT

Giftcoin is what your collection mines today. $GIFT is the planned token for Gifters on TON — follow @gifters_community for official news.

The plan for $GIFT is real purchasing power: buy real Telegram NFT gifts on TON with it, directly or by swapping to GRAM (TON). That’s a plan for $GIFT, not something Giftcoin does or turns into.

Your next step

Now you know where Giftcoin comes from and where it goes. The best way to grow it is a stronger shelf, so start with the Gift2Earn guide. For quick yes-or-no answers, the Gifters FAQ has you covered.

The pouch won’t claim itself. That part’s on you.
