A gift sitting in your collection is a nice thing to own. A gift on your shelf is part of a mine, and a well-matched shelf mines noticeably more than a random one.
How does shelf chemistry work in Gifters?
Only gifts on your shelf earn Giftcoin, every hour, into your pouch. Shelf chemistry is the bonus they get for matching: shelved gifts that share a collection, a backdrop or a theme build up to three chemistry diamonds, and the diamonds raise each gift’s Giftcoin income. Each gift counts its strongest link only, so the three link types don’t stack. Chemistry never changes a gift’s worth. In the app’s own words: “Match collections, backdrops, or themes to earn more together.”
Shelving comes first
Everything in this guide starts with one rule: owning a gift is not the same as shelving it. A gift that stays in your collection earns nothing, however rare it is. Place it in a shelf slot and it starts mining Giftcoin every hour, including while you’re away.
Better gifts earn more, so the traits on each card still matter. If you’re not sure what makes one gift stronger than another, the rarity guide walks through models, backdrops, symbols, serials and worth. The bigger picture of why your collection works like a mining farm is in your collection is the mine.
Slots, Gifter level and room to grow
Your Gifter level sets the size of your mine: how many shelf slots you have and how many hours your pouch can hold. The app shows both side by side with your level, and the rule is simple: higher level, bigger mine.
If you want room sooner, the Store sells an “Extra shelf slot” and a “Pouch extender” for Telegram Stars. They’re conveniences, not shortcuts to a balance: Giftcoin itself is never sold.
Reading the three chemistry links
Each link type rewards a different way of collecting. A collection link is the obvious one: several Eternal Roses side by side. A backdrop link rewards gifts that share a background, and because backdrops repeat across collections, it lets very different gifts work together. A theme link groups related collections, so a shelf built around one idea can match even when the names differ.
The key detail is that every gift uses its strongest link, not the sum of all three. A gift that shares a collection with two others and a backdrop with one doesn’t get both bonuses; it gets whichever link gives it more diamonds. So it’s better to commit to one clear grouping than to chase a little of everything.
Unique gifts are the exception to the matching work. They always have three diamonds, and they count as two gifts for their backdrop, which makes a Unique a strong anchor for a backdrop group.
Chemistry raises hourly income on the shelf. It never changes a gift’s worth, so it won’t move you up the leagues or change what a gift is worth on the market.
The hot backdrop of the week
Every Monday the game picks a new hot backdrop. It matters in two ways. A gift unwrapped with that week’s hot backdrop keeps a worth multiplier forever, which is about the gift itself. And on the shelf, the hot backdrop adds one extra count to its backdrop group, which is about chemistry.
That extra count is for the group, not for each gift. Still, if you’re one match short of a better diamond level on a backdrop group, the hot backdrop can be what gets you there. Check it in the app each week before you rearrange.
The full shelf bonus
There’s one more layer on top of chemistry. Fill every slot you have and give every shelved gift three diamonds, and each gift on the shelf gets an extra income bonus.
Chemistry, the full shelf bonus, squad boosts and other boosts all add together, up to a cap per gift. So there’s a ceiling, and you’ll reach it faster with a tidy, fully matched shelf than with a big pile of unrelated gifts.
The pouch and the claim rhythm
Shelf income goes into your pouch, and the pouch has a capacity measured in hours. When it’s full, mining pauses until you claim. Hours that pass while it’s full are simply lost to the mine.
That’s why coming back to claim is the daily rhythm of Gifters. Claimed Giftcoin moves to your balance, and the pouch starts filling again. If you often find it full, a higher Gifter level or a Pouch extender buys you a longer stretch between visits. If it’s your very first claim, how to play Gifters walks the path from the free first gift to that moment.
A practical shelf checklist
- Fill every slot. An empty slot earns nothing, and even a modest gift on the shelf out-earns a great one left in your collection.
- Pick one grouping per set of slots: a collection, a backdrop or a theme. Remember that only each gift’s strongest link counts.
- Put your best gifts inside the group, so the diamonds land where income is already highest.
- Use Unique gifts as backdrop anchors; they bring three diamonds and count twice for their backdrop.
- Check the hot backdrop of the week, and see whether it tips a backdrop group up a level.
- Aim for the full shelf bonus once every gift shows three diamonds.
- Claim before the pouch is full.
Everything on the shelf is virtual: the gifts are copies of Telegram gift collections, and the Giftcoin they mine stays inside the game. Get the matching right, keep an eye on Mondays, and claim on time, and your shelf will do the rest while you’re away.
Questions players ask
What is shelf chemistry in Gifters?
Shelved gifts that share a collection, a backdrop or a theme build up to three chemistry diamonds, and those diamonds raise each gift's Giftcoin income. Each gift uses its strongest link; the three link types don't add together.
Does chemistry change what a gift is worth?
No. Chemistry only raises hourly income while the gift is on your shelf. A gift's worth stays the same with or without diamonds.
Why did my shelf stop mining?
Your pouch is full. It holds a set number of hours of income, and when it fills up, mining pauses until you claim. Your Gifter level sets those hours, and the Store sells a Pouch extender.
What does the hot backdrop of the week do?
It changes every Monday. A gift unwrapped with that week's hot backdrop keeps a worth multiplier forever, and on the shelf the hot backdrop adds one extra count to its backdrop group.
